Mission Statement
Under the direction of Council, the Economic Development Committee works to manage the development of Township businesses and industries, fostering an environment that maximizes benefits to both the Township and area residents.
Meeting Information
The Economic Development Committee meets at 4:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Main Administration Office in New Dublin.

Committee Initiatives
The Economic Development Committee works to support local business growth, celebrate community success, and encourage investment in the Township. Through initiatives such as the Business of the Year Award and the Skilled Trades Bursary, the Committee recognizes outstanding local businesses while helping students pursue careers in the skilled trades. These programs contribute to a strong local economy and help build a vibrant future for Elizabethtown-Kitley.
Business of the Year
The Economic Development Committee hosts an annual business luncheon to present the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley’s Business of the Year Award.
Nominations for the award are made by the public in the months leading up to the luncheon. The award recognizes businesses that have made significant contributions to the community.
Trades Bursary
The Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley Skilled Trades Bursary supports local residents pursuing careers in the skilled trades. Valued at $1,500, the bursary may be awarded annually to students entering or continuing post-secondary education, apprenticeship training, or other trade-related programs.
The program reflects the Township's commitment to supporting the next generation of skilled workers and investing in the future of our community.
Bursary value increased to $1,500 by Resolution No. 202-25, passed May 26, 2025.
