Public Consultation: Former Frankville School Usage
The Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley is inviting residents to attend upcoming public meetings to discuss the future use of the former Frankville school property.
- Relocation and consolidation of municipal offices
This option would relocate the Township’s main administrative office to the Frankville school and consolidate services currently split between the New Dublin Road and Toledo locations. This could reduce the need for major upgrades to the existing municipal building while providing a more functional and accessible workspace, as well as improved space for Council and public meetings. - Development of a community-use space
This option would repurpose the Frankville school as a community hub, to potentially offer residents with gathering spaces, library, recreational and fitness programming, seniors activities, educational workshops, after-school programs, and other professional services. - Community input and alternative ideas
Residents are encouraged to share their ideas for how the property could be used. Feedback gathered through the consultation process will help inform Council’s decision.
Public Meeting Details:
- Monday, June 15th, at 1:00 p.m.
- Monday, June 29th, at 6:00 p.m.
Both meetings will take place at the former Frankville Public School, located at 231 County Rd 29, Frankville, ON, K0E 1H0.
