UCLG Public Notice: Pesticide Use
Residents are advised that invasive Phragmites control activities are scheduled to take place within Elizabethtown-Kitley between September 14th and September 30th, 2026 (weather permitting).
The work is being undertaken as part of a regional effort involving the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority, Wagar & Corput Weed Control Inc., and the Invasive Phragmites Control Centre to manage the spread of invasive Phragmites (Phragmites australis ssp. australis) across several municipalities in Leeds and Grenville.
Registered pesticides will be used for terrestrial applications in accordance with the Pest Control Products Act (Canada).
