Labour Day Collection Notice

Residents in the north end collection area with Monday collection are advised that recycling collection will proceed as regularly scheduled on Labour Day, Monday, September 7th. Monday's scheduled recycling collection will be containers.

Garbage collection normally scheduled for Monday, September 7th, will instead take place on Tuesday, September 8th due to the holiday. If you have questions about garbage collection, please reach out to Limerick Environmental directly: 613-345-1891

Please ensure garbage is placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the revised collection day.

UCLG Public Notice: Pesticide Use

Residents are advised that invasive Phragmites control activities are scheduled to take place within Elizabethtown-Kitley between September 14th and September 30th, 2026 (weather permitting).

The work is being undertaken as part of a regional effort involving the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority, Wagar & Corput Weed Control Inc., and the Invasive Phragmites Control Centre to manage the spread of invasive Phragmites (Phragmites australis ssp. australis) across several municipalities in Leeds and Grenville.

Registered pesticides will be used for terrestrial applications in accordance with the Pest Control Products Act (Canada).
