Significant Weather Event Declared 🚧

The Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley is advising residents that a Significant Weather Event has been declared due to ongoing winter weather conditions, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 239/02 of the Municipal Act, 2001.

The declaration takes effect at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 19th and will remain in place through Tuesday, January 20th, 2026.

As a result, winter maintenance response timelines are temporarily adjusted, and roadways, sidewalks, and walkways may require additional time to return to normal safe conditions.

Residents are encouraged to limit travel where possible and to use extra caution around Public Works crews and winter maintenance equipment as operations continue. We appreciate your patience as crews work to maintain safe access throughout the Township.
