Fulford Cemetery: Community Cleanup Day

Help Us Get Fulford Pioneer Cemetery Ready for Upcoming Repairs!

Dating back to 1786, Fulford Pioneer Cemetery is one of the Township’s earliest burial grounds and an important part of our local history.

This fall, the Township is getting the cemetery ready for specialized masonry repairs to its historic stone pathway, scheduled for early November.

After a summer of wind and with the autumn leaves now falling, there’s some seasonal cleanup to tackle before the repair work begins. Public Works will take care of the larger cleanup items beforehand, while Township staff and members of Heritage Elizabethtown-Kitley will be working alongside community volunteers to clean up the cemetery grounds.

Date: October 29th, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Fulford Pioneer Cemetery, 215 Fulford Point Road, Brockville, ON
What to bring: Work gloves, suitable outdoor footwear, rakes and pruners.

Volunteers will be required to complete the Township’s volunteer forms before participating.
