Flags Lowered in Memory of Those Affected by the Wainwright Tragedy

With profound sadness, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones affected by the tragedy in Wainwright, Alberta.

Our thoughts are with all those grieving a loss, those who are injured, and the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families as they face an incredibly difficult and painful time.

Although Wainwright is many miles from our Township here in rural Ontario, grief knows no distance. As a small community, we understand the importance of supporting one another through difficult times, and of offering compassion when words alone cannot ease the suffering.

Our flags will remain at half-mast until further notice as a humble gesture of mourning, respect, and solidarity with the people of Wainwright and all those who stand with them.
