2026 Municipal Election: Nomination Period Opens May 1st
The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election opens on Friday, May 1st, 2026.
Individuals interested in running for the offices of Mayor or Councillor can begin filing their nomination papers as of this date. This is also the first day to register as a third party advertiser.
Nomination packages are available online or can be picked up at the Township Office at 6544 New Dublin Road in Addison.
Completed nomination papers must be filed in person at the Township Office. Candidates are encouraged to call ahead or book an appointment to ensure staff availability. For assistance, please contact the office at 613-345-7480.
The nomination period closes on Friday, August 21st, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
